Based in Hobart, Tasmania, Tony is an Australian illustrator and author whose work is shaped by the world around him. His creative process begins with watching people, visiting places, and the small unexpected moments that spark new stories and visual worlds.
Tony works across early childhood books, picture books, chapter books, and graphic novels. His stories bring to life an eclectic cast of characters ranging from stomping dinosaurs, leaping ninjas, and a fearless young detective and her loyal dog Frey who solve mysteries. His favourite studio is any cafe with a good coffee and enough table space for a sketchbook, because that's where the best ideas tend to sneak up on him.
